No experience is required. Many roles are simple and hands-on, and guidance or training will be provided when needed.
Volunteer commitments vary. Some opportunities are just a few hours at an event, while others involve more ongoing support. You can choose what works for your schedule.
No, membership is not required to volunteer. Though members are always encouraged and appreciated.
To join the Darwell & District Agricultural Society attend our Annual General Meeting which is on the first Monday in November, 8 pm at the Darwell Centennial Hall.
We understand things come up. Please let us know as soon as possible so we can adjust plans or find another volunteer.
Yes. We welcome individuals, families, youth, and community groups. Some roles may have age or supervision requirements.
Tasks vary and may include event setup and takedown, admissions at events, lawn mowing, weed whacking , work bee's, setting up/taking down fencing, cleanup, planning help, or administrative support. There is always lots of work to be done.
